GUN RIGHTS RALLY DAY, Jefferson City, Tuesday, April 29, 2008
We have less than 5 short days before the 2008 Gun Rights Rally Day in Jefferson City. Folks, this rally urging our politicians to pass a Range Protection Act is far more important than Concealed Carry ever was. All across our nation, anti-gunners are shutting down gun ranges based on frivolous lawsuits claiming noise pollution. Even in our own state with Cedar Creek Rod and Gun Club near Columbia.
If we don't convince our legislature to pass this law, our gun ranges could be in serious trouble and we could see more ranges threatened with closing their doors. It doesn't do us a lot of good to own firearms if you can't train and practice with them.
Right now, Today, we need you to make plans to be at our state capitol on Tuesday morning. There are car pool topics right now in the forum and bus options making pickups in St. Louis and Kansas City. It only cost 20 bucks to hop on the bus in St. Louis or KC and that will save you big bucks in gas money.
When: 10:00am Tuesday April 29, 2008.
Where: Capitol in Jefferson City, 1st Floor Rotunda.
Notes: No CCW inside the Capitol.
St. Louis Area Transportation
GCLA will again sponsor a bus to the rally. CeeCee Cuba has again agreed to ram rod the bus. This is a nice comfortable way to ride to the capital and enjoy some camaraderie with like-minded folks.
Cost to ride the bus is only $20!!! This is still less than a tank of gas that it would take to drive your own car...and you don't have to worry about parking! As usual CeeCee will have doughnuts in the morning (you will have to supply your own coffee) for all riders. The Pickup location is the commuter lot at Hwy 44 & Hwy 141. Bring $20 to board and be there no later than 7am.
Contact CeeCee Cuba at (636)861-9265 if you can reserve your seat in advance. They will stop at Ryan's Steak House after the rally.
Kansas City Area Transportation
WMSA will have a bus going to the rally. Sit back, relax, be dropped off at the door. No parking hassles. For the small fee of $20 per person (children under 12 free) you can ride, AND watch a movie on the way down. Movie TBA. Contact WmsaPrez@gmail.com for reservations. The KC bus will also be stopping by Ryan's Steakhouse after the rally.
Anyone else wishing to catch a ride may want to post in the MissouriCarry.com forum and ask for car pool info in order to keep the gas costs at a minimum. We really need as many people to show up as possible to make an impact. Please do what needs to be done to show up at the capitol.
